Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your Poetry Tea purchase! Please review the details below before ordering. This policy applies to orders placed on or after October 17, 2026. Earlier orders remain subject to the policy in effect when purchased.

Clothing returns

Eligible clothing may be returned for store credit only. Please email poetryteainfo@gmail.com within 7 calendar days of delivery to request a return. For local pickup orders, please contact us within 7 calendar days of your ready-for-pickup notification.

Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with original tags attached. Items must be free of perfume, smoke, makeup, deodorant stains, pet hair, and other signs of wear.

Because our inventory is limited and sells quickly, we do not offer exchanges. You may use your store credit toward another available item.

How to return an item

Email us with your order number and the item you would like to return. Once approved, we will email you a return shipping label. Please print it, attach it to your package, and mail your return within 7 calendar days of receiving the label.

For ordinary returns, the actual cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your store credit. We will tell you the label cost when we send it. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable for ordinary returns.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives and email us within 7 calendar days of delivery if an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect. For local pickup orders, please report these issues within 7 calendar days of collecting your order. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos so we can help.

These issues are handled separately from ordinary returns, including for final-sale items. We cover any required return shipping for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Please contact us before mailing anything back. We will arrange a replacement when available. If we cannot provide the correct, undamaged item, we will refund the affected item to your original payment method. No return-label fee will be deducted for these issues.

Final-sale items

Jewelry, hats, belts, and accessories are final sale. Items marked FINAL SALE or DOORBUSTER, and items purchased using clearance promotional codes offering more than 25% off, are also final sale and cannot be returned for fit or preference. Please review product descriptions and promotional terms before checking out. Final-sale restrictions do not prevent you from reporting damaged, defective, or incorrect items as described above.

Store credit and processing

Approved ordinary returns are issued as a gift certificate or app credit, rather than a cash, PayPal, or credit-card refund. If loyalty cashback rewards were earned on a returned item, the store credit will be reduced by the rewards earned on that item.

Please allow 3–5 days after we receive your return for processing. Returns are processed on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

If you paid with Sezzle, you remain responsible for your Sezzle payment schedule. An ordinary return results in Poetry Tea store credit rather than a reduction of your Sezzle balance.
